Default My first serious attempt at speed....

Car is a Kyosho Inferno GT2, 2 speed tranny still in it, RC Monster conversion kit with special high speed pinion (dang near as large as the spur gears), 6s lipo, Monster Max 2200. Not sure how fast she's going, but it's not too shabby. Getting my neighbor (a KS Highway Patrolman) to radar it. The bigger the car, the slower it looks like it's going...know that from my pylon planes. Anyone care to estimate?

First run, with body (bad idea)

2nd run, no body, tweaked the suspension, put on bigger brake pads (went thru stock in 5 stops!), and set up ABS in my radio as well.

You'll have to pardon the rccars.com watermark mods...I did a conversion video on it for that site.

I'm in Kansas...going to see if the company (I work for Castle Creations) will send me out, but want this thing to be able to compete before I go buying airline tickets.

Lessening the ground clutter...essentially making "more sure" that I'll be in control the whole time...it's why drivers stands are up high over the track (not just for ability to see further/better). Safety is my #1 thing...

Yeah, it does...felt weird too. You get used to your hands being in a certain position when you drive. Try it sometime like that...with something slower preferably.

And yes, that's a bone stock Monster Max 2200 combo. Right out of the box, just like you can get at your LHS. I wanted to make it a point that none of the components I used in the vehicle could not be purchased by everyone. You can get everything in the car from a distributor online or LHS.

Hehe,

Thats pretty cool, I'm sure it will rouse a lot of interest in the product outside of just Monster Trucks, loads more people are giving 1/8 Onroad a go nowadays.

If money was no object, I'd probably go for something similar to this, but I'm only a student so I'm going to stick with what I have for the moment lol

Good job Joe! Im still working on my GT2. I know some guys in Louisiana got theirs up to 103 on 4s. It would be awesome if you could come out to the next ISC event.

Wow Joe
It looks very fast! ----- Going to have to get some type of speed reading on that one.......

As far as the blow-over thing goes. The first thing is to get rid of that rear wing. Next, (if it needs it) mount rear, vertical stabilizers (like, Jack-- BoostCrzy did) ---- then---- if it still blows over, you might have to add a bit of a front splitter on it.
It's all about having the correct balance.

Hope you can make it, in Nov.
